Up lift dark skin women.

You may think, ‘why? What has it got to do with me,’.. But as a woman, we share divine duty. What is good for one woman, is good for us all. What uplifts one woman, uplifts us all. When we do this we are saying, ‘we are no longer going to tolerate being pinned up against each other as women, and my self esteem as a women does not rely on another women being put down, or perceived through indoctrination to be inferior’.

Because let’s face the truth, the persecution of darker skinned women has long been an excuse for not so darker skinned women to feel somehow more assured in themselves. Ofcourse, this is a false sense of security based on, ‘well, at least it’s not me’.
But it is you. Every time that a woman is commodified for something as trivial and menial as skin shade, it is once again embedding the belief that the value of woman is in her outer shell, and her ability to appear aesthetically amusing to the male community, and their desires.

Uplift your sisters.
Because a culture that alienates the melinated woman, whilst glorifying her male counterpart, is a culture that continuously devalues the presence of women.
Why do we allow a place in society where darker skinned men are revered, but darker skinned women remain in many cases, ‘the butt of the joke’..
I call it post racial trauma, the psychological implication of centuries of displacement, and guilt consciousness. The belief that the darker the skin, the easier your roots may be traced back to slavery, and consequently to being somehow ‘inferior’.

What we want to do, is do away with these old modes of thinking.. What we want to do, is clear the old templates of any programming that was born of division, and control tactics. What we really, really want to do as we awaken to a purer way of living, and embrace consciousness, is right every wrong commuted under the guise of the old world. Allow it to die.
