I say #BlackLivesMatter for a goddamn reason. I say it because there are innocent people getting killed for being black. I say it because there is institutionalised racism. I say it because the police kills us with permission. I say it because white privilege exists. I say it because our brothers and sisters have to fear for their lives. I say it because we can’t wear hoodies or go to church. I say it because we are the oppressed but treated like the oppressors. I say it because white people don’t care about us since it doesn’t affect them. I say it because black lives aren’t valued. I say black lives do matter because black lives don’t matter!
