I can’t wait for what the rest of 2019 has to offer for me. I have the best friends in the world right now and the best support system honestly. Academically this semester was still the most challenging but I know Hampton is where I’m suppose to be. Spiritually, I’ll never leave God hanging. Everything has really came full circle to me and to think I was dimming my light for a booty rub and to fulfill my selfish ways. Sophomore year taught me all I need is grit and time to myself. I have achieved so much for myself at 20 and I’m proud of myself. Growing up not hearing those words really is traumatizing, but you did it T. You didn’t let nothing break you too bad and study abroad is happening. I’m so excited to get my visa papers approved and really explore the world. My mom raised not only an independent black girl, but a global citizen. Happy Sophomore year T. Half the race is over.
