you can tell a lightskint made this. they didn’t handle this properly at all. not dealing with Tony’s humanity and maybe internalized anti-darkskin sentiments perpetuated by everything, INCLUDING THIS DAMN SHOW.

the two dark skinned women are either ghetto or a complete snob, two of the most major personality extremes in the show. lightskints “schooling” the dark skinned black woman on colorism is a joke and a half.

And if you watch the rest of the episode you see why Tony feels this way. The idea of having dark skin children (more specifically a daughter) was frightening to her bc of what she went through growing up as a dark skin woman herself. Although her fears are wrong for obvious reasons they are valid. But having your light skin friends with long 3b-3c curls try to school her on her issues don’t help her either. She’s probably been called every name in the book by friends, family, classmates etc. So I understand why she has the issues she has. This episode didn’t sit well with me.

Me either I always thought this was trash loved the show tho
